Pat Marby
Pat Mabry has been a West African dancer and teacher for over 20 years. She has performed with the
Ju-Ju ensemble, Cinque African Dance Theater, and Opus Dance Theater. As a faculty member at
Mind-Builders Creative Arts Center and Hostos Lincoln Academy she was responsible for teaching youth
at these two prestigious institutions. Pat is also a quilt artist she started quilting in 2002 and became a
member of Harlem Girls Quilting Circle; within that time her creativity of fiber arts which she has titled
“Vibrant Expressions” has been exhibited in many venues and participated in holiday salon series with
The Harlem Aesthetic – Harlem For The Holidays. Her passion for working with the community and
culture lead her to Hostos Community College/CUNY where Pat is employed as the Assistant Director of
Admissions & Recruitment; the chairperson of the Hostos Kwanzaa committee and has facilitated and
created Kwanzaa celebrations for the past 29 years.
